Carl Cox has remixed Vikthor and Pianoalani’s ‘Legacy’, releasing his latest interpretation through Intec.

The original became closely associated with sunrise moments during Cox’s [UNVRS] Ibiza residency, with the producer retaining its central melodic character while expanding the arrangement for his own sets.

Running at 130 BPM, the remix moves across melodic techno, progressive house, and trance influences. Cox builds gradually around the original motif, adding tension and a broader peak-time structure while preserving the emotional direction of the source material.

“The original already had a feeling that people connected with, particularly in those sunrise moments,” Cox says. “The challenge was keeping that emotion while giving the record enough power and movement to work in my own sets.”
