The entire record collection of the late JD Twitch, co-founder of Optimo (Espacio), will be sold through East London record shop World of Echo, with the first installment becoming available on November 14th, 2026.

The collection, assembled over decades by Scottish DJ and producer Keith McIvor, known professionally as JD Twitch, spans multiple genres, countries, and eras. The initial sale will include approximately 7,000 to 8,000 records, available exclusively in-store at World of Echo’s Cheshire Street location from 10 AM.

The shop will dedicate its space to the collection until November 19th, after which remaining records will become part of its regular second-hand section. A second installment is planned for 2027. Each record will carry a ‘World of JD Twitch’ sticker identifying its origin.

McIvor died in September 2025 after being diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. His extensive collection reflects a lifetime spent discovering and sharing music through DJing and record collecting.

World of Echo purchased the collection from the family. His widow, Marissa Costello, explained that the decision was guided by McIvor’s belief that records should continue to circulate and be enjoyed by new listeners.

“We know that people will have different opinions about what we should have done with it, but Keith believed records are ultimately there to be played, discovered and loved,” said Costello. “We wanted his records to find their way into other people’s collections, to be played and enjoyed rather than simply kept because they once belonged to him.”

Memorial fanzines celebrating McIvor’s life and musical legacy will also be available at the shop in exchange for donations to the Keith McIvor Glioblastoma Research Fund, established to support research in Scotland.

Founded in 2018 on Columbia Road, World of Echo specializes in music spanning early electronic sounds, krautrock, noise, EBM, punk, post-punk, industrial, jazz, art rock, and DIY recordings. The shop relocated to its current location near Brick Lane in 2025.

The first installment of JD Twitch’s collection goes on sale at World of Echo on November 14th, with a second release of records scheduled for 2027.
