Brazilian DJ and producer Ratier makes his debut on Laguna Music with ‘When I Dance’, a three-track release featuring remixes by FM From B and Neverdogs. The project arrives during the year marking his 30th anniversary behind the decks and represents his fifth release of 2026.
The original mix draws on classic house influences within a contemporary tech house framework. A steady groove and warm bassline support an old-school vocal, connecting the track’s rhythmic foundation with a more traditional house sensibility.
Brazilian duo FM From B approach the original with a heavier, more elastic groove. Their remix emphasizes the low end while introducing rhythmic elements associated with UK garage, bringing additional swing to the arrangement.
Italian pair Neverdogs take the track in a faster direction at 130 BPM. Their version introduces more pronounced breaks and rhythmic variations, creating a more driving interpretation of ‘When I Dance’.
The release continues an active year for Ratier, whose recent output includes music on Heattraxx, Shout! Label, Organic Pieces, and Ágape Records. His wider discography also includes releases through Kompakt, Get Physical, and Stil vor Talent.
The EP was celebrated with two consecutive club appearances. Ratier and Neverdogs performed at D-EDGE Rio on October 23rd for Ratier & Friends in partnership with Laguna Music, followed by a second date at D-EDGE São Paulo on October 24th.
